Leak underneath the car?

my 2011 patriot has got a leak underneath the car some type of liquid is dripping from the bottom of the car close to the shiny silver thing if you guys know where that is(looks sorta like a spring) on the car its dripping there and right above there, I just got an oil change on my car, I touched the liquid and it had no smell to it and no taste either, does anyone know if this is serious?

It's probably just the AC condensation drain. The AC compressor will run even when you have it selected to defrost (and no, the AC button will not illuminate).



I keep seeing people say this. There is nothing wrong or dangerous with tasting automotive fluids. They all have distinct taste properties (bitter, sweet, etc) that can tell you exactly what it is (if the color doesn't give it away). A small drop on the tongue does not have to be swallowed and can be spit out. All automotive fluids have some sort of taste, and if something has no taste, then it's always water, which means nothing is leaking on your car.
