Key Fob and Physical Key will not unlock doors

My key fob will not unlock my 2017 Jeep Patriot doors, also putting the key in the driver side door does not unlock the doors. The key will turn to the left and the right, but doesn’t feel like it’s catching anything.

I changed the battery in the fob and had the same problem.

Any advice on how to remedy this situation would be much appreciated.

update-AAA came and broke into the Jeep. I put the key in the ignition and it started right up.

I tested the key fob with one door open, and it locks and unlocks the doors.

putting the key in the door to manually lock and unlock the door remains the same, the key turns 45 degrees both to the left and the right, but does not lock the door.

Could be a loose wire in the sensor to catch the signals from the "cheat remote". As for doing things the old-fashioned way, how far over are you turning it? Sorry to be asking, just with how things are in this day and age, some things can get by any of us.

Has it been cold where you are? Things can freeze. Several years ago I came out after my company party. The city was plowing and towing away vehicles that were parked in their way -- and my locks were frozen. I walked over to the police station and the officer at the desk got me a coffee stir stick (one of the hollow ones) and told me to stick it in the keyhole and blow through the stick. It worked.
