I already got an AEM FIC hook up for engine mangment.
Also got a walbro 255 hook up with a fuel regulator.
And i already bought a caliber srt4 manifold and turbo.

It might be like 2 month before i get her running, but ill keep you guys updated.

Let us know more of your setup.
Do you have the CVT Auto or 5speed manual?

4x2? 4x4 FD1? 4x4 FD2?

Very interesting. I think you'll be the first.
There are a handful of Caliber modders that have done this, to mixed results. It's not a straightforward bolt-on procedure, but a well-tuned, turbo'd Cali R/T will outrun a stock Cali SRT4 by a healthy margin.

Aaaaand, Patriot 4x2 Sport = Caliber R/T, for all intents and purposes.

cool man! i am going the opposite way, well not really, i am going supercharged for more low end torque, because i need it for hill climbs, i just need to find the right one, on my list so far i have, electric cut out, 2.5 inch muffler i may run 2.25 or 2.5 inch exhaust not sure,, under drive pulley, and stuff like that, sorry to hi jack. again, good luck!!

I am going 4-6psi which wouldn't be enough to harm the motor. And 4-6 psi would be more than enough with a good tune using my AEM FIC to get up to 75+ whp.

BTW I already ordered the new Downpipe. For now i am just missing the turbo oil line which i will go get them custom made hopefully this week. After that i am pretty sure i can start mounting. Hopefully i will be done before September 13. Which is the day i start first year of college

Gas turbo dream - Nissan Juke

I just read that Nissan will be offering a small cross-over called 2011 Juke (funny name) that come with a gas turbo direct-injection 1.6 L engine that could put out 188 hp, 177 ft-lb torque. That's slightly more punch than the Patriot 2.4L.

In contrast, Nissan's normal 1.6 L engine pushes out only 120 hp, 111 ft-lb. Thus the turbo additon can punch out 50% more power!

Who needs diesel and EPA hassles? Imagine what a gas turbo Patriots can do with 50% more punch? ...brute-force towing, hill climbing, even snow pushing.

Ford is expanding its Eco-boost gas turbo offerings; now Nissan. When will Chrysler start offering gas turbo beyond one Caliber R/T? More turbo offerings means more reasons for us to trade-in sooner. You don't win races by standing still.

Turbo Piston Oil Squiters

I haven't located any info on the 2.4 engine in my 2010 but my 03 SRT-4 2.4 engine has oil squiters in the piston area to help keep lube up and heat down. The SRT-2.4 engine is certainly different from my Pat engine; i.e.; oil filter on backside on engine vs frontside on Pat.
If the Patriot 2.4 doesn't have these you may have an issue with the pistons over time. Hopefully someone on this board has some information that can answer my concern. Nothing worse than toasting your motor except launching pistons through the hood.

Its my understanding that the 2.4 GEMA has oil squirters AND a 2 stage cooling system.

yea he ditched out on that thread too.. wth man? lame. If I was him I would have done a complete engine swap, rather than running non-forged internals... would have cost the same, if not less considering you wouldnt have to mess with tuning, widebands, all the other small necessities, plus cooling... there is way too much to make a n/a boosted... maybe i'll just grab a 2.5 like I had in my Daytona lol

If one was to go down the engine swap path and just re mount things that got in the way. From what I remember when I was looking into this years ago people were saying the engine mounts are different and there is no room for the intercooler. But as we have seen you can work around the intercooler so just the engine mounts might pose as an issue.

This is the easiest way to add a turbo to your Patriot:

Same engine and trans as the Patriot. If you have a manual trans they have one for that too. It make take some shade tree engineering to get everything lined up and placed due to differences in body design between the vehicles, but it's all there including pre-programmed fuel and ignition timing. And much less labor than an engine swap. It should put the Patriot in the 220-250 HP range.
I personally know a close friend that has been running this exact kit on his 2009 Lancer GTS since the summer of 2010. No issues as of yet. All GEMA engines were designed from the beginning to be easy to turbo charge. The blocks and internals are all the same. On the Lancers the only difference in the engine itself between the EVO and the standard Lancer 2.0 is the head, cam, and ECU programming. Big differences in the way the power is transferred to the wheels, but not big differences in the way the power is made...

That looks similar as to what we did to my old buick, except we did a top swap with the supercharged version of the 3.L v6 and added a few things on top of that a little over 2 grand in parts

Could be busy studying his social life in college. Or actually, provided he passed all his classes and never changed his major, he'd be graduated and in the workforce by now.
