Quick question regarding the stubby Antenna deal. Do you get any wind noise from it at any speed? also, is the reception the same as the original antenna? specifically I'm talking about the one from AntennaX that is all over EBAY. Also, is it just a screw off screw on deal? any pics of it on your Pat?

ive had mine for over a month now and to answer your question :there is no noise at high speed, the reception is excellent and yes it is a screw off screw on type (only needs a adaptor that comes with the antenna) sorry i dont have any pics for now but i think it looks nice.

X2. I've had mine for over a year now and have never heard wind noise. I don't listen to a lot of free radio but the one time I need AM for weather info it was clear.

Inside model?

Anyone tried one of those models that eliminates the antenna? It requires a power source, if you tried it, how good does it work and how hard/easy to install?

I'm getting the 14" black stainless one, cheap easy mod that makes the Pat look better, i'm all for it!

I bought it off of EbAY for 15.99 i think? I installed it and it works just fine, the only issue I had is the adapter that came with it ended up being about 2-3 threads shorter then the OEM antenna. No big deal, I just loctite the sucker together and it's not moving now.

I bought the 14" Black Billet antenna from Amazon. It works great and looks even better!

I bought the 14" stainless black one and haven't noticed any increased noise. As far as signal goes I can't really comment as I don't listen to the radio. But it looks a lot better than the factory one and it was really easy to install.

I live in a small town with one radio station. When I put a 14 inch billet on my Chevy S10 a few years ago I noticed a definite loss of signal to some of the stations broadcasting from other towns. If you live in a civilized area with plenty of stations, you should be okay.

Very clean looking! I can't wait to find myself a decent antenna that's about half the size of the stock one.
