The only Patriots with heated mirrors are the Euro models (for some odd reason... guess Canadians don't need it or anything since it never snows here? ). If your sticker sheet does say that yours comes with heated mirrors though, you'll be able to go back to your dealership and complain to the salesperson and you can usually get some free accessories out of the deal (many members from here have done that).

 

No one has them. There are a couple of threads dealing with trying to get them installed and also someone else had the same thing you did, sticker saying they had them and actually did not.

I have the electric auto folding heated mirrors and I do use them. The folding part is much more useful as I have a narrow driveway and it means I can park the jeep easier with them folded in.

 

hmm... I wonder where the switches are to activate them and what the cost of the units are from a European dealership.

 

The switch is on the drivers door, it's probably the same in US versions. We have a round know that you twist to let you control the angle of the mirrors. You twist it 180 degrees and the mirrors fold in.

You can sort of see it in this picture below the door handle on the right.

 

ok, so I would need a new door skin (if they made a left sided one) as well as the mirrors. Another option I could do is I do not have heated seats so I could put the button in its place possibly too.

I think this could be a cool and useful mod, especially being in Germany the parts should be readily available to me.

 

My euro-heated mirror switch is the same with the rear window defroster. both operate the same time.

don't know about automatic folding ones, mine fold but manually.

 

I have a Euro model Limited 4x4 CRD. The limited models here in australia fold in automatically and they defrost in conjunction witht the rear window.

I have 2 Pats both 2007 Diesels. Both have the heatmark on the mirrors but on both they dont work. No fuse broken, rearwindowheater works in both.

 

I have little defrost symbols on my mirrors, are they supposed to light up when I have the rear defrost on?

 

No.

 

It's the defrost button. When you push the defrost button for your rear window, they activate only if you have this icon on your mirror
