I have been entertaining the idea of adding front tow hooks since I bought my Patriot. I was thinking of adding only one of them. Unfortunately they sold as a pair. Would anyone be interested in splitting the cost and the hooks? I'd like to install one on the passenger side. Could someone who installed them before confirm if the hooks are the same (interchangeable)? The cheapest so far I found is around $170 including shipping.

You may want to read the sales description carefully. The other day I was looking to add them as well, so I searched for the exact OEM Mopar part number and the part # w/description for $180 is for the SET meaning both of them. So If you are looking on ebay, the last I looked i found the best price there as well and it too stated 2 pieces. On another note.....the 2 sides are different and I could not find separate part #'s for left and right. So I'm reseanably positive the price is indeed for "THE SET"

It's a great website especially if you have a part number available and search using it.
The eye bolt is fine for pulling the jeep up onto a flat bed tow truck, or along a flat surface (road), but for off-road style yanking, cranking and snatching, it'll probably rip right out of the bumper or break (especially if pulled from an angle other then straight ahead).

It's just a guess considering I'm not in the UK market in anyway.....
But IMO its not your standard "eye bolt" screwed into the plastic bumper.
Most likely it's a closed loop made of grade 5 or hardened steel, fine thread which is stronger, and a long length of thread that is welded inside a frame rail.
As the PAT is a light weight vehicle, my guess is that this detachable point is much stronger than one would anticipate. I would not hesitate to use it as a "snatch" point. Again...IMO

i purchased the set from the dealer and i paid $210 for both and they are a little different from left to right, i just recently installed them and i bought the new front fascia so i wouldnt have to cut anything and i paid $125 for that if anyone wants i will tell them exactly what to do so you will be prepaired as i had to run to autozone in the middle cause i needed something

What extra parts do you need to install some front hooks? I don't mind cutting into the existing bumper to make them work. I totally want something for recovery in case my FWD gets stuck somewhere!!! Lucky for me I have an autozone within walking distance from my house.
