Excessive Oil Consumption

Have a 2015 Patriot with 85,000 miles - owned it three years now and added OEM oil cooler to it and a tow hitch. Anyhow I have noticed excessive oil consumption recently. I'm familiar with the Compass engine/oil consumption issues as my daughter has a 2018 but that issue doesn't seem to be a factor here having studied the history. Anyone have any insights? Running well otherwise.

Very unusual. Neither my 2008 nor my 2014 Patriot use any oil, even at 200,000+ miles. I'd look for
1) Leaks. The lines to the oil cooler may not have been installed as tightly as it should have.
2) Black, sooty deposit around the tailpipe. That would indicate you're burning oil.
No CEL?

As for your daughter's 2018 Compass, I had one of those too, and indeed it used a lot of oil. Jeep did a computer update that changed the valve timing, and that solved the problem. I forget if it was a recall, or just a TSB. Either way, it didn't cost anything.
