Look for Chrysler to announce this SOON! :smiley_thumbs_up:
How many people out there are driving something newer than '84, gets less than 18 MPG combined, that is not worth at most $4500?Is in drivable condition
Has been both continuously insured, consistent with the laws of your State, and continuously registered to the same owner for at least one year immediately prior to the trading-in of your vehicle under the CARS program
Manufactured less than 25 years before the date of trade in (i.e., before mid- to late-1984) and, in the case of category 3 trucks, not later than model year 2001
Has a combined MPG of 18 or less (this does not apply to category 3 trucks, i.e., very large pickup trucks and cargo vans)
Here are vehicles that Edmunds thinks would be worth less than $4500 which makes them worthwhile to participate in the program. We compiled this list by searching the Edmunds.com vehicle database for models that have an average fuel economy of 18 mpg or less and for which at least one of the styles of that vehicle has a current average national trade-in True Market Value® price (unadjusted for options or color and assuming "clean" vehicle condition and average mileage of 12,000 per year) of $4,500 or less.
Actually No...After paying taxes all of my adult life I am finally getting something back for it. This money was forcefully taken from Me and I am getting a very small portion of it back.As for taking the cash certainly do it. Just remember when you do it had to be forcefully taken from some one else.
I don't think so, sounds like you have a shot at the double deal, as long as you can find a vehicle to purchase.According to this, I'd be able to get the full $4500 which means I could double it to $9,000! At least I hope so and I'm not getting my hopes up for nothing haha.
Maybe we need to start a new thread on just this topic! I too am interested!Looking forward to see what kind of deals members may be able to haggle (such as the Jeep Loyalty rebate).
