An excerpt from the 2011 OM 6th edition, p. 58

BeltAlert can be enabled or disabled by your authorized dealer or by following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first 60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON/RUN or START position. Chrysler Group LLC does not recommend deactivating BeltAlert.
1. With all doors closed, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position and wait for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn on while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt. It may be necessary to retract the seat belt.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have success- fully completed the programming.
BeltAlert can be reactivated by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although BeltAlert has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Reminder Light will continue to illuminate while the driver or front passenger seat belt remains unbuckled.

Here full time, retired and moved south. Yes, many of my friends from NY moved to PA when retiring for "tax" reasons. I would love to see any pictures of antenna or radio mounting on the Patriot. So far I am only using a HT in it. Got to get the hitch done first then the radio. Be Safe, glad to me you 73 de Jim W2HOG

Yes. Pull out the ABS Pump fuse, it disables everything. But why would u not want stability control..? Do you mean to say traction control..?

Yes, there's a very useful way to turn it all off, and possibly save your own life in the process.....BUCKLE THE STUPID SEATBELT ALREADY!!!!!!!! It's not that confining, it's proven to save lives, and if by some chance you end up in a wreck, you'll thank me for telling you this.

Some cars in the mid-70's had the "sit-buckle-start" interlock. No annoying chimes, etc. The way to disable this feature was to disconnect the seat sensor, thereby, no "sit", then everything was normal. I discovered this quite by accident--I wanted to start the car to warm it up, forgetting about the interlock, I reached in to start the engine without getting in the seat, and it started!

If you've ever been a pilot, buckling up before starting the engine is the appropriate method, and this technique stays with you--I was flying prior to cars requiring seatbelts...

Key positions are off, lock, run, and start. To disable seat belt chime, buckle up.
