If it were me, I'd take the oil dipstick out, wipe it off real good, and run it down the transmission fill tube til it taps the bottom, pull it out then measure how far up the dipstick the fluid went.

Here's the fluid level chart, it should measure at least 24mm.

Also, check the fluid condition: nice and clean or black and burned.

If it's low or empty, I'd look at the axle seals on the transmission to see if either has been leaking and around the trans pan too.
