Spent the morning out in the desert hunting and on my way out I got stuck going up a hill I had already gone down earlier. Actually it was a wash that crossed the road, but the sides of it were pretty steep and everything below was pretty soft and loose from recent rains. I tried crawling up it like any other 4x4 vehicle, but the Jeep was having none of that. I knew from watching Patriot videos I just needed to gun it. So I backed up a bit to the other side of the wash I had just come down and throttled it pretty good making it up and over without any further incident.
But when I got home I realized that the loud thud I felt when I first made contact was the right side of my front bumper planting into the road for a split second before my front tires starting pulling me up. I must have taken a bad line or my momentum just carried me into the ground. Scratched the bumper up, but otherwise nothing the write home about. My question is: does anyone know what this bracket is behind the front skid plate? It hangs at a very conspicuous angle and my concern is it may have been damaged or bent.
