Hi Everyone,

My name is Marco but in the forum world most people know me as SirMarco.
I am picking up my new 2014 Patriot Sport 4x4, 2.4L, Maximum Steel on Saturday. I would have picked it up last night but one of the two cars I am trading in couldn't get down the icy street ('04 GTO).
Yes I am getting rid of a Heads, Cam GTO for a Patriot. Most people think I'm crazy. I'm also getting rid of a 2000 Kia Sportage with 160,XXX on it.
I've been looking at these Jeeps for a while and almost pulled the trigger on a Latitude earlier in 2013 but I didn't like CVT trans. Now with the 6 speed auto, it drives so much nicer.
Anyways I'm pretty pumped to have another vehicle that fits my outdoor lifestyle much better then the GTO did. I race BMX and travel around the country doing that. I am also very big into mountain biking and snowboarding. I do have plans to so the small lift on this and add some larger tires. Other then that I want to leave the rest alone for the most part.

So my first tank of gas averaged me out to just over 30mpg. I call that a win from anything I've ever had before.

So I was able to get, my now old GTO, to the dealer last night to finish off the deal. Two hours later I was driving home in a new 2014 Sport 4x4/2.4L with a whole 8 miles on it. I have only put on about 40 miles between yesterday and this morning, but I love it.
It's very comfortable. It feels very solid as well as planted to the ground. The ride, compared to what I came from, is so much nicer as well. I really think I am going to be enjoying this alot more then I thought I would. Yeah the speed may not be there like I had in the GTO but that's what the V-Rod will be for. I also sprung for the undercaoting to be done as well. It's getting done sometime next week.
Here is a picture from the dealer. When I get daylight I plan on taking more.

I saw they have the alignment kit as well. I also will take it in and get it properly aligned on a rack.
I'm very good about keeping my vehicles maintained properly. Inside, outside and mechanical. I plan on doing the same to this.

ball joints on all Chrysler products are suspect. and maintain it properly. I've seen very few issues, even Being on a couple of different forums.

If you do the RRO lift, make sure you get your alignment done right! I lived with vibrations and poor tire wear for a year because of a bad alignment...

I've been looking at the PRO kit since I started looking at these. I like these since they remind me of the old box Cherokees. Once I take delivery I will post up some pics.
Like I said, I do have plans for a lift and a new wheel and tire package. I like the stock 17" wheel but I really like the steely looking rims more, in black of course. All in due time. Also the slide bars are pretty slick looking.

So tell me some things that I need to watch out for with these?
