So I was able to get, my now old GTO, to the dealer last night to finish off the deal. Two hours later I was driving home in a new 2014 Sport 4x4/2.4L with a whole 8 miles on it. I have only put on about 40 miles between yesterday and this morning, but I love it.
It's very comfortable. It feels very solid as well as planted to the ground. The ride, compared to what I came from, is so much nicer as well. I really think I am going to be enjoying this alot more then I thought I would. Yeah the speed may not be there like I had in the GTO but that's what the V-Rod will be for. I also sprung for the undercaoting to be done as well. It's getting done sometime next week.

I wash my cars more than anyone I know. The steel, especially underneath, is not good and rusts quickly, believe me. Prevention is the key.

 

That is already getting done. Plus I clean my cars a few times a week.

 

In Chicago they use road salt, so I would suggest rustproofing the body, and use fluid film on everything else, and I mean everything, under the hood (fuse boxes for sure), under neath, wheel hubs, calipers, everything.

 

It's a good rig. 4 years, 50k miles, and so far 3 states. Can't really complain about mine.

 

I saw they have the alignment kit as well. I also will take it in and get it properly aligned on a rack.
I'm very good about keeping my vehicles maintained properly. Inside, outside and mechanical. I plan on doing the same to this.

 

ball joints on all Chrysler products are suspect. and maintain it properly. I've seen very few issues, even Being on a couple of different forums.

If you do the RRO lift, make sure you get your alignment done right! I lived with vibrations and poor tire wear for a year because of a bad alignment...

 

I've been looking at the PRO kit since I started looking at these. I like these since they remind me of the old box Cherokees. Once I take delivery I will post up some pics.
Like I said, I do have plans for a lift and a new wheel and tire package. I like the stock 17" wheel but I really like the steely looking rims more, in black of course. All in due time. Also the slide bars are pretty slick looking.

So tell me some things that I need to watch out for with these?

You'll get a bigger lift with the RRO but it is a spacer lift. STU is a coil lift.
