Look at the back all the negitave space jeeze this is all bad

So it's worse in person? That was my fear!

That back end reminds me a lot of a kia and the side of a BMW. Not wild about the look. I agree JEEP brings to mind a certain unmistakable image and this new body feels like it will easily get lost in the crowd of every other crossover on the highway. But that's just my 2 cents. I know a lot of people don't like the overall boxy look of my patriot but I LOVE my pats shape reminding me of the old Cherokee. Love it or hate it... There is no mistaking a pat as a Jeep, I easily see the new Cherokee being mistaken for many other makes.

I love the tech under the new cherokee. I'm actually very impressed. I just wish it was designed differently, especially the back. It couldn't be more off putting... that's my biggest complaint about the compass too, after the redesign, the front looked great, but I couldn't get over how the back looked.

I hope that this is like bmw in the bangle years:

and just a few years later:

much improved... I just hope they do the same with the chrokee when it is time to replace my patriot, or move the patriot to my dd and buy a cherokee as a family car (if it is pretty enough)

... and it all depends on what one defines as 'comfort'.

Just read that the '16 Wrangler may do away with solid axles due to the new CAFE standards. Might become too comfortable for some if that is the case.

"Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy."

This has been debunked. The local dealer (who's very active on my local jeep forum) told us that chrysler has confirmed the JK line until at least till MY18. so for a few years at least, they are going to keep on keeping on. Not to say it won't change, but I seriously doubt it. The Wrangler line is just something they cannot mess with... it is their bread and butter.

Has anyone around the country seen a Cherokee commercial yet?
Nothing here in Palm Beach County, not even on NFL Sundays.
The rest of the world, non-Jeepers, don't even know about it yet.
Wuz up with dat?

There is a commercial out now. Been about a week or so. I have seen it on the TV about 5 times now. It is a lame ass commercial though. New age artsy fartsy type. Not how I would have gone. You barely even see the damn vehicle. Just stupid.

I hope those of you that don't like the new Cherokee come around to how great it really is. I just traded my 2014 Patriot in that I bought Mar 26th for a new Cherokee Latitude FWD. And I was one of the many that didn't like the pics of the new Cherokee. Chrysler will sell a ton of these things. I liked the looks of my Patriot but in person this new look of the Cherokee instantly made me want one.

For all you KL haters, I hate to bring rain to the parade. However, if you thought the KJ was not a real Jeep, look real close at your Patriot. The front end looks as if it was cut off a KJ and welded on the front of the Patriot.
