Gotta ask, why do you want an aftermarket hood? For looks? Engine mods?

Admit it, you just want to be the first Patriot owner with a big turbo-charger sticking out of da hood! Which would be hilarious, considering the engine in the Patriot is not exactly a beast to begin with. Something like this, perhaps?

im just looking for something with a scoop or something different than everyone else. I saw a few scoops you can bolt on but you need to move the washer sprayers. Adding a scoop also never looks right.

 

If you just want to be different and not expect the scoop to be all that functional with an easier install try looking for smaller twin side scoops that won't interfere with the windshield washer.
Some can even be two-sided taped on with no drilling or cutting.
Though i don't know if i'd trust that myself.

On the other hand if you're looking for functionality as in a large single center scoop be careful where you cut the hole out for it.
You don't want to cut any structural hood ribs.

 

any aftermarket hood will probably have same fluid nozzle locations as they are generally replacement hoods
probably easier to relocate them further up, custom make a washer/bushing to change angle slightly and install hood scoop where you want.

 

My thoughts on this: Buy a used hood from the junk yard to "practice" your mods on...

 

I have been having a hard time finding Patriots at junk yards
for the first time, yard by me finally has a patriot, unfortunately for me its the wrong year,
but a 2014 could be a sweet find for others in PA

A single working scoop isn't gonna work that well if you wanna keep structural integrity of the hood.
