New here so hopefully I posted in right place…

2017 Jeep Patriot. 133,370 miles.

Was driving on the highway and engine started shaking and managed to pull over before it shut itself off.

Battery light and check engine lit up. Quite a few codes popped up.

P0010 P0013 P0443 P2008 P0038 P0032 P0420

After being stuck for about 10 mins I was able to start back up and make it to work for now. Based on the codes I'm thinking the issue might be a bad 02 sensor which is causing the PCM to tweak?

Last week my car wouldn't start in below 0 weather.

First time having that issue and I replaced my battery and spark plugs. Didn't fix the issue. Oil was changed 3 weeks ago and is a little low for recently changing it but is in safe range. Weather has warmed back up to over 30 degrees and has 0 issues starting now.

Not sure if last weeks issue and todays issue is related but any suggestions of what I could try replacing/fixing would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

I'd check the battery and make sure it's up to par, as well as the battery cable connectors and the wiring and eyelet at the starter as sometimes it corrodes and breaks.

Also, sometimes corrosion at one or both of the engine bay grounds can cause numerous error codes which are not necessarily related.

The wires can corrode under the eyelet crimp and insulation where it can't be seen.

The fix is cutting of the old eyelet, stripping the wires to good metal, and adding a new eyelet.

More info on the grounds here:

Did you clean the contacts on the box? Check/clean the wires going into the box?
Use anything to prevent corrosion in the future?

I'd say you got lucky if you caught it before damage was done to the contacts/wires. See several cases where the wires had corroded through and where the relay terminals were no longer usable requiring a replacement box (or wiring an external relay outside the box).

I did clean the contacts. Used an electric spray and wire brush and got rid of all visible corrosion. Haven’t checked the wires running into it. But i made a major **** up and might’ve shorted one of the radiator fan’s relay. I was disconnecting and reconnecting my battery a few times as I was trying to find my original issue and accidentally pulled the relay for the fan while battery was connected and caused it to maybe short. Now when i put the new relay in the fan stays on at all times. Which made codes P0539, P0581, P0481 pop up.

- so I either have to replace the fan, or the wires for that relay. That was my own damn fault
