UPDATE: It was in fact the starter motor. The cabling on the starter was completely eroded and turned to dust when I touched it. Sourced a used starter for $35 and took about two hours to take the old one out and get the new one in!
OP: Drove it to the store today, got back out to the Jeep and it won't turn over. The key goes in and turns, dash lights and radio turn on, but when trying to start the car there's nothing, no sound or anything. Tech from CAA tried to boost it and said it was the starter and when I did a quick Google search that's what it kinda sounds like.Has this ever happened to anyone before? any advice on replacing a starter? hoping to do it myself and save a few hundred $$ 😆
