If you haven't resolved the C211E code, I would start by checking fuse 2, then refer to the PDF I attached above for troubleshooting steps for each code.

If you have a bi-directional scan tool that has an AWD module test, you might try that.

No, not if the ECC is bad.

If AWD module is working like it's supposed to, and providing the ECC with proper power, then hard wiring it won't make any difference if the ECC (ECC is the front part of the rear differential) is the problem.

If you haven't already, you can try to verify the output at the ECC connector.

In the pdf I posted, there's a section on troubleshooting code C1456, talking about using a test light across the pins on the ECC connector to verify operation.

If the light comes on then AWD module is working, the problem is with the ECC.

If the light doesn't come on then you work back toward the AWD module (wiring, connectors, etc.).

Would anyone happen to know the part number or where I could find a new plug for the ECC
AFAIK they're only available through Jeep as part of the wiring harness assembly.

If there's no part number anywhere on the connector, you can try to find something similar at an automotive connector site:

or you may have to get one from a salvage yard and splice it in.
