First, the important part. PICS!

No shiny muffler showing! Extended rear bumper, and no "Patriot" on said bumper.

Press Release said:
eep Patriot's classic exterior styling and capability are enhanced for 2011 with new front and rear fascias, a body-color grille, and an increased 4x4 ride height. Ride-and-handling is refined courtesy of retuned steering and suspension systems. Interior enhancements round out the new-for-2011 features, and include significantly upgraded touch points.

"Patriot boasts class-leading 4x4 capability and unsurpassed fuel economy, and a host of safety features in a fun and affordable package – a combination that only Jeep can offer," said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. "For 2011, Jeep Patriot is even more appealing to consumers, thanks to rugged new exterior styling, interior enhancements and refinements to the suspension and steering systems."

New-for-2011 Jeep Patriot exterior highlights include an aggressive new front fascia with standard fog lamps positioned inside the headlamps; a new rear fascia that extends lower than on previous models; a body-color grille; new available 17-inch wheels; four new colors and 4x4 ride height that has been increased by 1 inch.

Interior upgrades for the 2011 Jeep Patriot include new soft touch front-door trim panels with a padded upper surface; new center armrest; a new Jeep steering wheel with integrated controls that allow the driver to operate the radio, cruise control, hands-free phone and other vehicle functions while keeping their hands on the wheel; new cloth interior, with premium cloth bucket seats in the front; standard speed control on all models; new backlighting of door switches, door locks, windows and power mirror controls and standard automatic temperature control on the Latitude X model.

Available as a stand-alone option on all models for 2011 is the Uconnect® Voice Command with Bluetooth for hands-free calling and music/radio/SIRIUS satellite radio control.

The 2011 Jeep Patriot offers customers more capability than any other vehicle in the compact SUV class. Capability features include low-range mode which generates a best-in-class 19:1 crawl ratio, brake traction control, 19-inch water fording capability, Hill Descent Control, 4x4 Lock shift-on-the-fly which sends 50 percent of torque to front and rear wheels, and a maximum tow rating of 2,000 lbs. The Jeep Patriot also boasts a retuned suspension for 2011, with higher spring and damping rates, added rebound springs, and an increased diameter of the rear sway bar. Despite these numerous capability features, the 2011 Jeep Patriot boasts unsurpassed 4x4 fuel economy in its segment.

A 2010 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick, the Jeep Patriot for 2011 is loaded with more than 30 standard safety and security features, thoughtful functionality and best-in-class off-road capability with Freedom Drive II, offering tremendous value for consumers that desire an SUV to accommodate their active lifestyle at an affordable price.

Offered with front-wheel- or four-wheel-drive, Jeep Patriot is available in three configurations – Sport, Latitude and Latitude X.

Built at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Ill., the new 2011 Jeep Patriot models arrive in Jeep showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2010

love the new bumper designs, the patriot emblem on the front doors, and the moulded plastic rocker guards.

Oh... and that front grille is sexy!

Hey now, one extra inch ground clearance is a big change. I'm assuming here that's not one inch given with a simple body lift, which would be a B.S. way to increase the space between ground and chassis.

Also, it says nothing about engines. Every press release about a redesigned vehicle talks about motors. Again, till we hear otherwise there's a chance it'll get MultiAir. I'm hoping. Even if it's not likely.

It says that it's only on the FD2 or 4x4 (iirc) version that it gets the extra inch. I dunno if it's the same "inch" that the last 4x4 got over the 4x2. I wouldn't call it a whole ton. LOL

no no no no no no no..put it back
The 'PATRIOT' on the back bumper was the best bit !!!!!

Lovely quality photos though. Thanks xx:smiley_thumbs_up:
you can always put the old bumpers on :p

It said more one inch of lift, but still only has 19-inch water fording capability. Odd, if there was an inch more of ride height would not it be 20-inch water fording capability?

Just a thought... It does look nice.

I kind of agree....and the older Suzuki Grand Vitaras, which I still own. That's one reason I have a silver one (since the trim was always silver) - so it was monotone.

I would like to see some pics with a darker color (black, charcoal grey, green). I am wondering how'd they'd look with the trim -- esp. the black, since the trim looks dark grey. I suspect the black and grey would be monotone?

eh, its OK. I still like the ones we all have more anyway. The only thing that I would like on my Pat from this model is possibly the Patriot lettering on the sides. The wheels are OK but I like the stock 17's better. All of that plastic on the bumper and sides makes it look cheap and will probably fade anyway. Nice upgrades though.

I will defintely contemplate picking one of these up. I have read the possibility of that pentastar V6 going in this. That seems silly, but it would be nice. It supposedly puts out 280+ horsepower. Can you imagine this thing with that much power?

DAMN!!! it looks good, but I need to order that grill!! anyone else wanna do a grill swap too?? looks like they listened and finally scrapped the slots and went with something that doesn't look like ****

Like the cruise being on the front of the steering wheel.... but the steering wheel is uuuugggly.

Don't like the new exterior plastic.
They attempted to give it the impression of being higher off the ground by making the parts that are lower than the old Cherokee black... sorry but it does not fool the eye.

I don't care for 2-tone exteriors. I want all exterior sheetmetal and plastic to be the same color.

Everyone notice that in the pictures the antenna is missing? Change the design don't just remove the antenna for the picture.

So the tan interior is 3-tone: tan lower, black dash, light grey upper.... :puke:

I do like the wheels.

Well, I like all of the design changes. I think it classes it up a bit, but I'm with johnnyboy on the plastic body cladding though. If they made it out of the same stuff on the tops of our rear bumpers, it'll look like hell in two years.

WOW, they look incredibly sexy! I thought Jeep would come out & ruin it, but they've out done themselves in the looks department!!
The patriot logo on the rear bumper gone - awesome!
Grill/frond end - awesome!
The darker accents around the bottom of the car - awesome!
New badging - awesome!
Easily accessible tow hooks front & back - delicious!

I really like were they've taken it.

Now they just have to address the poxy motor issue & throw in a proper turbo diesel or a petrol that actually has some power!

Impressed! :)

x2!!! I really love it!!! looks more easy to install a dual exhaust!!! :D

Im not impressed. The best part of the patriot was how simple its design was.

They put too much contrast into it.

The grille looks stupid
I hate two tone paint jobs.
The bumpers look ok, but again the two tone?
The wheels are nice, but there should be a black steel 16" option for FDII models (who wants to scratch those shiney rims on a trail?)
The interior looks horrible. How many colors do they need in there? Stick with all black IMO

I agree, we need more Drivetrain specs.

Looks way better than the old look. Fit and finish look great, Seats look way better!
Steering wheel is great!!!

Puts the old design in the weeds! Nice Job! Looks like it's worth the money now, far better selling apeal than the old design!

Love the cladding and bumpers,. It looks like a real jeep now!

I'll bet the price went way up for the base model 4x4 though and that sucks.
