16" Liberty Wheels No Spacers

I came across a set of Jeep Liberty KK (07-12) wheels a while ago and did not get them because people on this forum insisted they did not fit our Patriots. After seeing the Compass Canyon and realizing that these wheels are the new base wheels for the 2014 Jeep Compass I figured they had to fit. They have almost the same offset and backspacing.
I bought a set of off 08 Liberty wheels because I like the painted/polished aluminum look better.
I wanted to stay in the same range of the stock 28" tire. I decided to go with a set of General Grabber AT2 215/70r16. I figured you all would like to know that this is another 16" wheel option that fits our Patriots without spacers or sticking out past the wheel well.

I really like those!! What did you pay for them? Great find!

Thanks! I actually looked everywhere for them for a long time and found them on Christmas Day on Craigslist for $200 for the set. The guy lived about 10 minutes from my house. They have them on Ebay for about $100-150 each but most postings say "stock picture" so you really don't know what you are getting.

Those are one of my favorite stock Jeep wheels, and they look awesome on your 'Riot!

Do they center on the hub or the lugs?

No, I went with a 215 wide 28" tire to avoid transmission issues and premature wear on my suspension. Wheels and tires are pretty much the exact size of the my 17" wheels and stock SR-As.

With the 40mm offset, the 7" Liberty wheel backspacing is a little over 5.5", it was a little over 5.25" on the stock 17X6.5 wheels with the same offset. The extra 1/4" of back spacing did not make a difference at full lock.

Nice! I just got new tires, but when I need tires down the road, that's a tempting option for me to consider

What a great find. They look really sharp with the general tires! I like this a lot.

Personally I don't think they look that good, maybe you should just give them to me lol
I see what you did there...clever anti-like ninja mind trick!

Since I´ve seen those wheels mounted on older Jeeps like 90´s and 97+ XJ´s I guess they have the same bolt pattern that the patriots , Right?
Im asking cause I have this weird idea of testing my 16" moab 2005 rubicon Wheels ,Also have an extra set of liberty wheels and tires , but I wonder wich will be the top size I can throw in 16" wheels like the ones I´ve mentioned? By the way I own a 08 Patriot

I have a set of 16" Moabs from 2006 TJ. I plasti dipped them the same week I got them. No issues for the last year. The only thing I got was some some bore hub rings as Patriot has 67.1" bore and Moabs 71.5. This way the rims sit tight and don't vibrate.

Hi oblade21

I was looking at your Patriot sitting there in big ole Texas, those Jeep liberty rims looked mighty great on your patriot., I have a black patriot as well, I want that look as (not to be a copy cat but i like it the rims they really suit the patriot stance.

What brand and part # of hub rings did you use to support the rims? & Was the use of wheel spacer absolutely necessary to prevent tire rubbing up inside of the wheel-wells (on hard turns)

Do you know the Part # for those specific Jeep liberty Rims
.
thanks for sharing your photos.
