Hankook atm's

I ran 225/70/16's hankook atm's on my 2011 patriot, and have a 2014 now that I want to upgrade the tire and wheel combination on. I loved the Hankook atm's and was wondering if you guys (DT and AIS) could do a test fit with the 30x9.5 R15 and the mb chaos 5 in black?

Thanks

I believe the atms come in a 235/75r15 which would fit a lifted pat. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Yeah but those are a smaller diameter. If I was going to go with a metric tire, I would go with a 225/75/16. There's a lot of options with that size. I was mainly just curious to see what the 30x9.5 hankook atm would look like under the patriot.

We test fit the 30x9.50-15 tire size on the FDII. See the second fitment in the OP. It was mounted on a 15x7 ET0 wheel which are the same dimensions as the Chaos 5.

So I fit a 235/70R15 tire on the Pat without any issues on it last summer. I think it looks good, but with the 0 offset rim i had to replace the front Wheel Bearings on it because I think the pressure that the rim was forcing on the Wheel Bearing made the Wheel Bearing wear out....

Ah well, lol.... It was worth it,lol.... everyone likes the rims on, it makes it look more bad ass,lol....

2 questions

First question, midway through this thread someone said an 8" wheel with 0 offset would have 4.5" back spacing. Wouldn't it be closer to 4"?

Also, I've read through this entire thread and just to clarify, if I'm looking for a 15x7 wheel, what min/max offset am I looking for to not need spacers?

Thanks
Wes

An 8" wide wheel with 0 offset has 4.5" of backspace. Check out this thread we put together on offset/backspace.

http://thesquealingtire.com/wheel-offset-and-backspace-explained/

As far as the min/max offset on a 15x7, it really depends on the tire size you are trying to fit as well as the look you are going for. With a 7" wide wheel, the offset can be as high as +60mm (6.3" BS - tucks in) and as low as 0mm (4" BS - pushes out). All of the fitments we noted in the OP do not require spacers.

Ok cool. Thanks for the reply. I didn't account for the flange. As far as tire size goes, I don't get off the road nearly as much as I'd like to, so a tire geared more towards the road is what I'd be after. I really like the look of the lift and 15's though, that's the best look for a jeep IMO.

Anyone else manage to stuff 235/70 R16s under their stock FDI like this guy did hard to believe there's no rubbing as he states especially since it appears an earlier patriot before the 1" higher ones. I'd love to go 236/70 General Grabber ATs on my next set if I knew they wouldn't rub.

If I'm not mistaken those rims already have a decent offset on them, unless you reallyyyy want them to stick out then you won't need spacers.

Awesome! Thank you for your business Robby! Make sure you share a few photos with us here once everything is bolted up :smiley_thumbs_up: Like The4WDPatriot noted, no spacers are required!
