Found these on CL, originally from a 2006 Wrangler. (Sorry for the huge pics)

Don't know for sure, but this might be what JeepinLG had. http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8723

I wanted to mount the full set but didn't have time, so I put one on the front passenger side. Fully mounted it clears the caliper, spring perch, & pinch weld. No contact on full lock either way. No spacers were used.

Not much more than 1/16" clearance here, if that. Doesn't rub, but if it does, I guess it will just "auto-clearance" itself.

Here's a few pics of the inside of the rim:

Weight-wise, when I lifted the Ravine it felt lighter compared to the stock 17" SRA. I weighed them on a cheap digital bath scale they ranged from 45 to 47 lbs, the difference probably due in part to different balancing weights.

In contrast, the stock 17" SRA weighed in at 50.5 lbs.

The GSA is discontinued and the only source of specs I found was an old Ebay ad which claims the 30x9.5R15 weighs 35 lbs. If so, that puts the rim at 11 lbs., which would be great but seems too light to me. I'm thinking more like 15-18 lb, which would make the tire similar in weight to the SRA. If anyone has better specs on this tire, please feel free to add them.

i'd say it stays on pretty close.
not enough clearance for mud or snow there imo.
i'd say a 16" would do better.the rim it looks a bit small compared to the vehicle.
just my 2c.

Damn that looks scary! Even with the clearance I'd be too afraid to drive that thing fast. Looks good though!

Would be an option to try some spacers,as the pics show the ET looks higher than the oem ,thus the wheel standing closer to the strut assembly.I doubt that would solve the caliper issue, but would deffinitely improve things.

I've been running these for the past 50,000+ miles and have had no problems. Only real close tolerance I had was when I put on new brake pads on the front. I bought Autozone's premium brake pad (and also the thickest) and before the pads seated in I had around an eight inch clearance between the rim and the caliper side towards the spokes of the rim. I don't do a lot of offroading but with an 1100' driveway and a lot of hills with snow and ice in the winter, I don't worry about rocks getting between the rim and caliper too much. I'm not sure if there is a difference between an '08 and an '10.5 in physical dimension of suspension/brake components. Probably not. Looks good too me Sandstone. I like the wider stance. I may have to try larger tires next time ( and some stu's colis too!).

Well, I bought 'em. The guy who had them was selling them for someone else and wanted them out of his garage, so I got a pretty good deal. I like the way they look too, although that much sidewall took little getting used to compared to stock.

Initially, I felt they were too close, but then I did a little searching around and started seeing things like this (again, sorry for the huge pic):

I've seen opinions range from 1/4" minimum to 2-3mm to the thickness of a business card or basically "if it don't rub, you're good". Some guys even say they like to run them close because it tends to keep things from getting in. So I dunno, I'm beginning to think it may not be that big a deal.

The one thing that doesn't fit my original plan is the rim being 8" wide. The tire I was going to use was a 235-75r-15 which works best on 6.5-7". Not sure if this is going to be a problem or not.

bwpakk, thanks for the info. 50K miles and no problems is very encouraging.

Hopefully (weather permitting) I'll be able mount all 4 this weekend and see how they run.

You shouldn't have any problem using 235/65/15.
As I said,I'd throw some spacers in there, solving the issue of being too close to the strut and the wheel being an 8.
The ride improves as well, especially when cornering and on high speed turns on highways.

Yeah, I hope to do that this weekend, and who knows maybe I'll even wash it and clean up the rust on the hubs while I'm at it. It definitely could use it.

Goguadi, I'll keep the spacers in mind, but I hope I won't need them. Have you seen anything smaller than 1"?
