That's great! The most I've gotten with luggage and traveling about 75-80 MPH was near 26.5MPG

Yeah I usually top out at 28.5 on highway trips

I only average about 22 mpg. Ever since I changed my tires to a larger size and had it flashed....I don't know what I'm really getting? my best ever was 34.2 what about y'all?

What is the term "flash" I've read in this and another thread? Thanks in advance.
Flashing is writing new information to a computer chip, specifically in this case it would mean uploading data to give the circumference of the new wheels so that the cars brain could correctly convert each revolution of the wheels into distance travelled and to also calculate speed. Flashing isn't always necessary as the information may already be on the chip (manufacturers recommended alternative sizes should already be stored) though it would need the right equipment to connect to the chip to tell it which one to use, and some dealers will tell you that only the options already on the chip can be used, therefore only recommended tyre sizes can be safely fitted.

UPDATE: I took another reading after the trip back. It was better at 29.46 - might as well say 29.5 MPG since there was some driving to get to the HWY here and there. Overall I might have been driving a bit slower at 65 MPH - but hit a few miles here and there w/ road work - I had to reduce my speed to 55 to 60 MPH. But also the engine is getting broken in. Pretty happy about these numbers.
