Definitely. Ignatz does so well in every category. With FWD the fuel economy is as good as most cars, and it rides and handles as good as most cars -- plus I have the additional cargo space and versatility of an SUV. With good tires it can handle snowcovered roads and hills with ease, and I've had at least one adventure in mud that Ignatz made me look good (saved my neck). Unless your summer camp is in a swamp, you can get there without 4wd. As I said, mine is FWD, but I've driven a 4wd in snow and only an idiot could get it stuck. For the money, nothing else is close.

I've only owned mine for a few days but compared to my 2008 GMC Sierra that I traded in, I love it so far!

Yes, for sure. I'm at 86,000 miles with zero issues. What's not to like ?

Probably not.

My 02 Liberty has been bulletproof. Ive spent $179 in repairs since the day I bought it new. Long term reliability is hat steered me back to Chrysler for the Wifes and Jeep for mine.

Her 12 T&C is awesome. Fit, finish, quality, MPG, options, you name it.

My 13 Pat has some things I love- some not so much.

I like the fit & finish, color, interior, comfort, size and hopefully happy with the 4WD when its needed.

I thought I would get much better MPG- 19.5 is far from what it listed and was expected. Add insult to injury and only give me a 13.5 fuel tank. I went back over what I read on this and didnt see that tidbit anywhere.

The crap speakers I fixed.

If it holds up like the Libby I wont be sorry I bought it- but the 13.5 gallons is the one thing I am most disappointed with. If I got 30 mpg I could live with it. 19.5x30= a lot of time at gas stations.

Probably not.

I would not purchase another Patriot because of the many problems I have had with it.

I have had some major repairs since 87k. The gas mileage has always been poor. Lucky to break 20mpg on a good day.i do not have a heavy foot and drive conservatively.

I spoke with a used car dealer the other day and he said he had heard the Patriot was trouble prone. I had not heard this from a dealer before.

I have pretty high mileage at nearly 130k now but I had hoped to have less trouble than I have had. Replacing the TIPM has caused me to have to open up a car repair credit card just to be able to pay the $1,000plus repair. I have been out over $2,000 in repairs in the last two years and I am still making car payments on it too.

not sure they are going to make anymore...but was thinking about a 2014...yea, seems fine to get another.
My experience has been okay with my 2008 sport so far..but I don't push it and keep the miles low...
been a lot nicer since it was paid off.

Yes they're still making the Patriot in 2014. I expect them to continue into the 2015 model year but their replacement come out in Fall of 2015. That's just me based on what their big wigs have said in interviews and such.

Hey PJ, got any pictures of your Patriot. Kind of strange most members have pics of their Pats in their profile. Post some pics we feel your pain.

I'm truly puzzled by all these people complaining about gas mileage of 19-20 mpg. Not only do we own a Patriot, but I also had one provided as my company car. I do a huge mix of driving with it, lots of idling when it's hot out (I sit in the A/C and do my field work) and the lowest I've seen is around 21 mpg. Typically, it's getting around 24.

The small fuel tank is really annoying though.
