So is the Patriot. It's starting price is $20k LESS than the Yukon. There's only so much one can expect from a car that starts at $15k.

OOH i wasnt compareing it to our yukon i was just saying thats how you turn the mirrors on in our yukon.... i mean thats cheap that they are saying you have heated mirrors on the stickers and the website but the cars are coming with out them...

Yes. Then I agree. I guess there are just different uses for the word "cheap" in different parts of the country. :beerchug:

The brochure that the dealer has says nothing of heated power mirrors.
However, is todays world, most people are going to get a majority of their car info from the internet. Edmunds.com has had the correct information since day 1. their 26E pkg makes no mention of heated mirror.

I would be very surprised if everything on the Jeep website has not been approved by D-C regardless of who runs it. They are just trying to deflect blame for a late change to the features.

Willing to bet that this is a supply or manufacturing issue and not pricing.

Sorry but D-C has botched the whole rollout of Patriots. To think that 2 out of three dealers in twenty miles of me have not received any Pats yet. And if you extend to twenty five miles and add another dealer there is a total of four 4x2 Patriots.

Sorry for the rant but this is the worst vehicle launch I can remember.

The Patriot launch was delayed for months... one would think they could get their brochures, website, and vehicle stickers in sync.

So I spoke with the Dealer about this issue when I picked up my Patriot yesterday. The manager called DC about the issue. DC passed the issue off as being the fault of the company that designs and maintains the website. Apparently DC does not run their own website. There is no option for Heated mirrors nor can they add them at a later date.
Also, the cost of the E pkg for 4x4 sport models went up about $300.
thats a load of phooey. If it was just an error with the web people, it wouldn't have been on the window stickers.

I totally agree Superdave, that's exactly what I was thinking. But has anyone noticed that the owners manual has heated mirrors listed as a fuse on the fuse panel layout in the back of the manual? I found that to be completely odd if they aren't even an option on the thing which tells me that at one point they planned on heated mirrors, then changed their mind but didn't change the paper work.

I'm just wondering, since this vehicle is based on the Caliber and the interior is basically the same as the Caliber and the Compass, do any of those vehicles offer heated mirrors. DCX were probably going to offer heated mirrors but the pricing was too high. :icon_rolleyes:

The cost of adding heated mirrors is minimal and well covered by the option package. There is either a supply or manufacturing problem or both.

It's been confirmed by DCX that the patriot does not have heated mirrors as an option either, even if the option packages say so. It was supposed to come standard on the Limiteds according to the window stickers. The cost of adding them, if the vehicle has them as an option, is minimal. But doing an after market wiring is very pricy to have these installed. The only way that the wiring relay would already be present would be if the vehicle had heated mirrors as an option. While at some point heated mirrors were obviously being considered, DCX has informed me that they were scrapped before production began but would not say why.

Hmmm...maybe they'll add them down the road? Like in 08 or 09? I'm already planning to order my Pat in 08...maybe I'll push it back later in the year to see what they tweak for the 09 model.

For the third time now in this post, DCX contends that they don't do the upkeep on their website and the company that does has misspoken. The patriot for a fact does not come with heated mirrors, limited or sport edition.
Yes, we've heard you each time. However, if enough of us bring it to their attention and it becomes a large customer dissatisfaction issue, some sort of "adjustment" just might occur. If I can't have the heated mirrors that I PAID for, then they need to give me something to make up for it.
