If you don't think .38 is that much of a difference then here's a comparison for ya.
Look at a .22 ammo round
Then a .38.
Still think there's isn't much difference?
Now apply that reasoning to a rotational mass at a high rate of speed.
If you don't get the correct size then why bother at all?
Like I stated previously, if they don't vibrate at freeway speeds after lots of rough road conditions then you may be fine for many years to come.
Just consider that lug-centric when it should be hub-centric means more shear forces on the lugs which were not originally designed to handle that purpose. So make sure to periodically check for proper torque.

2nd note $35 is for 4 pieces. That seems negligible for peace of mind knowing its done right the first time.

I'm so lost on all if this. I thought they bolted on with no problem? So confused. I've read all of y'all's posts but just can't follow. Lol

Cmoore-
The 06 rubicon Moab 16" wheels are bolt on meaning u don't need bolt pattern adapters nor offset spacers.
You can bolt them on and hope they don't end up vibrating or u can spend $35 for hub centric rings so they fit snug and smooth.
It's a much easier cheaper approach than using the 07-12 wheels which do require adapters, spacers and rings.
And they r 17" so now I need new tires since my steelies are 16"
I went with the 2012's Cuz I can't find the older ones locally.

The package containing the Jeep Patriot Cargo Area Security Cover is sitting in the back seat awaiting the end of the work day. Had one of these in the Focus wagon, have one of these in the Fiesta, and the wife insisted on one in the Patriot. I still don't understand why it wasn't standard equipment!!!

thanks so much! and yes let's see the bars!

As for myself, I began planning the endeavor to regain my cargo space, by mounting the sub into the rear lower quarter panel... I, also, fixed my interior trim where the guys that installed by back up camera didn't snap it back on right.

Creation: If you have any other tips/tricks to get the sub in the side better please let me know. I have read the thread, and am about to start again, but any other pointers would be much appreciated.

$tandard equipment co$t$ money...

I replaced my standard antenna with the "Little Stubby" which I purchased from Amazon. It looks SO much better in my opinion. I hated the look of the giant antenna, and I've only had my Patriot for a few months, so I knew it wouldn't get better. This is so small that I can't see it from inside the vehicle, and can barely see it from outside! LOVE IT! Well worth the $25!

Any details about it? Pics? I wanna get a stubby one sooner or later too.

The only problem I had was that I bought the rubber one. After 20 minutes of driving above 70 it was bent back touching the car. Id bend it back and it would happen again. It annoyed me to no extent.
