Haha I didn't realize what you did I just noticed it now. What you use?

i just got done plasti-dipping my wheels. it came out looking pretty good, but om not entirely happy with them. it seems the lug nuts pulled some of the coating up when i put them on. any suggestions on how to prevent that?

and pics will come tomrrow. its dark out now. :/

I did notice there is kind of a big gap between the top of the assemblies and the fender. Not sure if it was that way with the OEM assemblies, but knowing Chrysler, it probably was. Either way, I don't think it will cause problems.
Yep, my passenger side has a huge gap on top...

Ironkique I like the "Don't Tread on me" sticker.. I'm pretty sure it says that next to the JP.com sticker.

Where did you get that?

Use an Exacto knife or something and cut away the pulled up stuff, slap a little tape on the lugs and spray a repair on while the wheels are mounted.

Remove the tape masking the lugs while everything is wet.

Ta Da!

@mkp12 haha, you might even be able to try it with the plasti-dip but electrical tape is a lot quicker lol. I feel like besides yours and my pat nobody else around here does anything to theirs. I haven't seen any kind of modded Pat around this area.

Gotta get my wheels done I've been saying it for months now. Haven't had time. Maybe I'll try and get them done next week...

True, I haven't seen any modded pats around either. Although I'm just adding little touches here and there, I just can't leave any of my jeeps stock lol. I like them to stand out from the rest ;)

I've always been that way with all my vehicles, I can't leave them alone lol. It keeps me busy and I always enjoy adding little things here and there.

heres the wheels i did yesterday

Thanks! I thought about it for awhile, but wasn't sure how it would look until I saw MPK12's.

Looking great Doc :smiley_thumbs_up:

I too wasn't sure about the center caps, I have the black ones but I put the chrome ones on to see how they'd look and I liked it. I think it goes well with the chrome lugs and all so I left it that way ;)
thanks! i can only hope mine looks as good as yours, the_jeep_now, and Lambert. someday.

i agree. im normally against chrome, but it works on these.

Looking good! probably turning a few heads huh?

indeed i have. everybody at work was jocking me in the parking lot. im now the units go-to guy for plasti-dipping.

@Doc
How many cans did you use on all four wheels?

An why'd you drop the Dallas?

I bought 4, and used one can each wheel. I didn't use the whole can because I realized at about 1/4 can left there was some droplets forming. So total I used about 3 cans.

I dropped the Dallas because I get called Doc more than I get called Dallas. Being in the Army, first names aren't used much.
