Did you remove the tail lights when dipping?
No but I should have. If you paint outside the wind takes the paint and throws mist all over the truck. All you have to do is take a cloth and wipe/rub it off if you get to it quick enough (under a couple of hours). If it dries and hardens then you REALLY have to rub it to get it off. Rear Quarters Have some Rough spots around the wheel wells . They're invisible, maybe because of the color of my jeep. I just have to rub them out :p:D

great job! it all came out really good!

I picked up my car from the body shop today, and they did an AWESOME job. There was a crease in my driver's side quarterpanel, they filled that in and painted it, looks like nothing happened at all. Then on my passenger's side quarterpanel, I rubbed some of the paint off when I backed into a wooden fence. They sanded the corner down and re-sprayed it, it looks like nothing happened there too. Looks like they matched the paint pretty well too, which is difficult for bright silver.

There were a few paint chips from door dings, they didn't turn out too well, but I sort of expected that. Nothing I couldn't have done with my paint pen from the factory. That's probably what I'll do next time. There are some pretty big chips from door dings from parking in a downtown parking ramp

Next week it's going to a different body shop to get almost $1200 worth of damage from a roadside assistance provider fixed on the driver's front and rear doors. Haven't received the check yet, hopefully soon. I am also going to have them replace the front parking light assemblies with the LED assemblies I bought earlier this month.

I would do just the lower door panels and lower bumpers, if you spray any more panels you might as well just have bought a black Patriot
I dunno... the black and green make a really cool contrast. I vote do it! Hey you can always peel it off :D

For the record, a couple weeks ago I made an attempt at plasti dippin my hood. The idea was to keep the center bulge silver and do the rest with black...

Didn't work out so good

It's so hot and dry here that even though I did it at night when it was cooler that the plasti dip was spraying on really dry. I'm going to take another swing at it on a cooler night.

that sounds like a good idea FAILWHEELDRIVE! but after previously living in the valley for ten plus years...i'm guessing that the cool nights have come to an end at this point in the season sir.

I think I'll do the hood for now as really like the look of Arctic edition Liberty. It should contrast very nicely. As Reno said if you plasti dip too many body parts, might have as well bought a black Jeep.
