:pepper: About 2:00 this afternoon I received a very unexpected call from my dealership. My RedRiot was in and ready to be picked up. After an all over and under inspection, a test drive and filling out more paper work than it took to close on my house, I took delivery and departed. So far, so good. It is exactly as I ordered as far as I can tell. I put about 40 miles on it after delivery, just cruising around. Very comfortable and smooth. Will be spending some time going thru the 424 page owners manual and trying to figure out all the systems. Got the most important parts working OK, the garage door opener and the radio. Next challenge will be the BlueTooth controls. Spent a little time in the parts/service department getting to know the guys back there. Took the time to order a trailor hitch. It ended up being $119.00 out the door, that was dealers cost, retails for $185.00, so I guess that is not a bad deal. Should be in in a couple of days. I have to install the wiring harness before installing the hitch. Should be easy enough using the instructions and the tutorial on this site. Pictures to follow if I can figure out how to do it. But, it looks just like everyother red Patriot Limited with dark gray interior one out there.

Congrats to you!!

Hope you're enjoying your new ride. :)

How long did it take, from order to delivery?

I placed the order on 27 September and received on 30 October. That makes it about 33 days. Not bad at all considering that the plant was shut down for 2 weeks during that period.

:smiley_thumbs_up:Cool! Congrats to you and I hope you give us some pictures of your red baby. I've got the only red Patriot in my small town right now and get nice comments from folks. The other day the guy at the lumber company asked me what color it was and I told him "Inferno Red!" He said "Cool, I'll have to remember that when I order mine!"

That's pretty quick! Looks like I'll be putting my current ride up for sale pretty quickly, then. Hopefully it goes fast. :)

Thanks all. I spent the day dealing with the banks, paying the dealer, getting insurance and buying a high priced car (Don't call it a car, it's Jeep) tag. Put about 70 miles on it, the computer says I am getting 24.9 MPG. Works for me. Two peeves so far: the lights do not come on automatically and no remote start. I was spoiled by both on my last ride, Chevy Malibu. The interior fit is kind of sloppy but I can live with that. I had noticed the interior fit during test drives, so no big surprise there. The Inferno Red really comes alive in the sun. Looks like the old Candy Apple Red of hot rod day past. Got the hands free phone system working, very slick. And I think that I may already be hooked on the Sirius radio (I found Margaritaville on my first pass thru the stations). Overall day 2 impressions, still very happy with my Jeep and nothing to truly complain about.
