Sound off. I'm particularly interested in hearing from Patriot owners not only in my area, but all of Nevada, all of Utah and Mohave County AZ.

I'm particularly interested in going on Ghost Town and abandoned mine (without going inside the mine of course) expeditions where you need a 4x4 to get to the Ghost Town or abandon mine to explore.

A couple web sites you might be interested in:

If you go to southeastern Utah, near Mexican Hat, visit the Valley of the Gods National Mounument. While the road doesn't require 4WD in dry weather, if there is any type of precepitation, I would recommend having a 4WD vehicle.

You can then ascend the Mogui Dugway, with switchbacks along the side of an 1100 foot mountain. Awesome scenery.

Here are just a few pictures of our travels to CO/Utah in 2010.

I am about 70 miles NNW of Reno, NV on HWY 395. Someday I want to go through Death Valley National Park.

It's not as close as you listed, but if you go SE from Kingman on US 93, there are many forest roads that lead to beautiful drives. Many of them are difficult, but not horrible roads.

Not sure about the ghost towns around there though.

Eldorado Canyon

I've taken mine to Eldorado Canyon on the Nevada side twice just outside of Boulder City into the Lake Mead National Rec Area. Pretty fun drive. I did however scrape my muffler the first trip out.

Definitely check out Goldfield and Gold Point, NV for some great ghost towns near Las Vegas. I can't wait to take my Patriot there!

I love the Valley of Fire, I just drove by there today. I'll have to go in there again sometime soon so I can share photos with everyone. I haven't actually been in there for over 15 years.

The Nevada portion of this forum sure seems quiet considering how I see TONS of patriots driving around. A lot of FDII Trail Rated ones too. Maybe I'll make up some business cards with the forum on it and drop them on windshields of other patriots.

I have already left a few sticky notes on some Patriots around town but no biters as far as I can tell. Business cards are fun and cheap to do so I will have to work on recruiting members in my area!

Great photos! I love the old towns up north.

We should post here before going on the next road trip in the area.

I'm up in the Reno area. Bodie is a great ghost town to visit, big park to explore and lots of side roads to hit as well. Took the FSJ group up there last fall and it was beautiful.
