About my 2010 Jeep Patriot

I had it fixed at the place I purchased it at this week. They fixed a hole in an exhaust pipe that was making a loud noise.
As I drove away from it being fixed, I heard a new noise that was not there previously. It sounds as though something is banging against something else. I was going to turn around immediately and go back to ask about the banging sound but decided to drive the car for a day to see if it went away.
I feel stupid going back and saying there is a new noise. But it's an annoying sound.. Since I only had the car repaired this week, it is wrong to go back and ask what the banging sound is?
