Windscreen wipers won’t turn off

Anyone had this problem before? Front wipers won’t turn off. Can adjust the speed of them but can’t get them to stop. Also the airbag light has come on a couple weeks prior to this, Not sure if it could be related.
Is there a fuse I can remove to stop the wipers for now?

There's no fuse specifically for the front wipers. Fuse 17 sends power to the wiper switch stalk, WCM, etc. but pulling it may affect other things too.

Kind of sounds like a bad switch, but since the wiper motor is supplied power by the TIPM you could try resetting the TIPM by disconnecting the battery cables, touching them together and leaving them for 10 mins, then reconnecting and see if that helps.

If all else fails, you could unplug the motor.

Ok so tried the TIPM reset and they are still on. Got an auto electrician to have a look but he said it’s probably a problem with the ECU and needs to go to jeep. I kind of want to avoid going to the dealer as it’ll end up costing a lot more than i really want to throw at it.
Quite an annoying issue to be having as we are having a lot of rain at the moment so I don’t really want to disconnect the wipers. Maybe wire up a toggle switch for the wipers?

According to the service manual, in order for the wipers to shut off, the wiper switch must be in "off" position, and the "park" position switch in the motor must be closed (wipers down).

If either of those switches fail the wipers will continue to run (manual info below).

The "wiper park switch sense" is marked on the wiring diagram below. There are different pin-outs for right vs left hand drive.

If you can locate the park switch sense wire you can check to see if the park switch is closing and pulling the line to ground as it should.
If not, then jumping the line to ground should make the wipers turn off with the switch inside (provided that switch is working properly), but you will need to time it yourself if you don't want the wipers stopped in the middle of the windshield. :)

Thanks for the info much appreciated, unfortunately it’s getting a little technical for me though lol
i tried pulling fuse 17 today to see if it would stop it and they still stay on.
Could a bad clock spring be causing it? My airbag light is also on and auto elec told me the clock spring needs replacing.
