OK so after messing with this thing, and installing a replacement motor that is NOT covered by the aftermarket extended warranty, I am stuck with it sitting in my domain. When I drove it, it ran good, but the washers didn't work, and I could not get the hood open. After a few days of messing with the secondary latch, which wouldn't move, I gave it a liberal coating of penetrating oil a few times and I got it to move enough to open the hood. it now sports a massive amount of lithium grease to keep it free in the future. I also found the washer hose was routed through the hood hinge and when it is closed, it clamps the hose shut.

Then there is the radio... if you put it in satellite mode, it plays the obnoxious commercial, but won't play any AM or FM stations. it tunes them in but no sound. Except occasionally it comes on for a few minutes, then stops. I plugged my phone into the Aux plug and it does play that way.

Guess I will drive it since I have more money tied into it than it will ever be worth. (sorry, just in a bad mood today)

Sorry to hear about your issues with your Jeep that's no way to start your day. Hang in there it will get better

Sorry it's being such a pain.

The radio probably has a bad connection either with the antenna / cable, antenna jack, or on a circuit board inside.

The circuit boards were likely made with "lead free" solder, which doesn't always hold up as well as old school leaded solder.

Some have had luck with taking the circuit boards out and "re-flowing" the solder by heating the boards in the oven for a bit.

I did this with a main board from 5 year old Vizio TV, and it's been working for about two months now.
