Just bought a 2015 Patriot Sport/Altitude last week. Lots of Grand Cherokees in the family but htis is my first jeep (baby steps). I don't do any off-roading although I'd like to get into some really novice trail driving and just get some dirt on it eventually.

Amazing how littel you can get a Patriot for if you don;t want. need any of the added options. The only thing mine has is AC, and I'm already regrettign not getting power locks:)

I already some some threads on adding those so that might be in the works.

Looking forward to being a Patriot owner and hoping it will last a long time.

Haha, mine doesn't have power locks either and I don't mind one bit. You kinda get used to it after the first few weeks or so. There's plenty of dirt to find, just need to know where to go. Depending on where in the world you are, maybe you can get some time to visit Jeep Creep in late October. www.riverwalkplace.net/jeep.html

We've got 2 Patriots in our garage. Both are base model FWD. One is 2008 2.4 w/ CVT; the other a 2014 2.0 w/ 5-spd manual. I added fog lights, cruise control and the roof rack to the '08 as part of my purchase negotiations. Cruise & fogs came on the 2014. Otherwise they're both quite basic vehicles. I like it that way: Less stuff to break, and when it does break, its cheaper to fix.
