Some of you like the styling of the new GC, I don't. Looks too much like most of the Asian SUV's. If someone were to debadge this thing the only way to tell it's a Jeep is by the seven slot grill. What's with those horrible headlights? IMHO the GC has not been a good looking Jeep in quite some time but this 2011 design just pushes it even further from what I've always thought a Jeep should like look. I'm happy that my Riot doesn't look like anything else on the road right now and no one can make that claim if they buy the "new" GC. Happy trails to those who buy it and then just blend in with all the other SUV's out there.
I have to disagree with you in some areas....first, while the new GC may have some points of similar styling to other foreign SUV's.....let's just say that those other SUV's are selling pretty well and to be competitive w/r/t styling.....Jeep has to be able to compete with those brands
However, I would also suggest that the GC is a REAL Jeep and those other foreign SUV's would get stuck in the mud and/or snow long before the GC ever would....they just don't have the 4 wheeling capability of the GC...some are badged as 4x4 but all really only AWD vehicles and some are even onlyl part-time AWD vehicles....the GC is still a trail rated Jeep and is in a class by itself with respect to off-roading....
I found that the latter versions of the GC from 2000 onwards were some of the best-looking SUV's on the market and my current 08 GC Overland is a dam#%# good-looking vehicle too (if I do say so myself)!
With respect to the interior, the new Limited/Overland versions are over the top with luxury inside and techno gadgets and can compete with any luxury SUV out there right now...
You have to remember that part of the new aerodynamic styling helps with increased fuel efficiency as well....to each his own though...if you are looking for a Jeep whose styling stands out in the crowd then the Wrangler is really the one that you want....I don't believe that most GC buyers (I being a longtime GC buyer) are looking for something 'to stand out'....
