Dunno the science part but FF isn't 70% solvent like a lot of the other rust check/preventative stuff available and it is lanolin based (sheep's wool oil).

A little goes a long way and I can attest that it works...you have to look real hard to find any rust on my Patriot and its been used hard for three full year long cycles in a very rainy and salt air environment now.

We are starting to find some small bits of undercarriage rust now...all of it where factory paint is chipping/peeling/flaking away from a part. A hit of Fluid Film stops in in its tracks and short of sandblasting both the rust speckles and the failing paint coating totally off and re-coating that is all you can ask.

Try it, you will like it.

I'll have to try to find some locally and I need to apply it soonish. Winter is coming soon

Done a lot since my last update, to include new under-seat sub woofer and stick shift knob.

Here's the new addition to the sound upgrade project, Kicker CS693 6x9's. I installed them in the front door speaker and will get another set for the rear a little later on.

I highly recommend these, sound quality is superb!

Ordered the RRO Lift Kit and made arrangements for the installation and alignment with Rides of Conover (www.ridesofconover.com).

I saw that too, but I'm always trying to save a buck, so avoiding shipping helps sometimes.

Thanks for letting folks know though!
Dixie, I found an 11.75oz. three pack for $33.35, free shipping, no minimum, on Amazon. I don't know if this is better than Grainger though. I am trying this stuff for the first time based on your previous recommendations and others.

I have Amazon Prime, so free two-day shipping on alot of stuff. Comes in handy if you use Amazon enough.

Lights mod

:)Coloured the headlamp chrome inserts and fitted a new number plate.

Reinstalled the spark plugs, this time with anti seize and dielectric grease... Thought I had some at home and I didn't... Oops.

It's done right now. Received my oil filters yesterday, Waiting to see if the Change oil light comes on. I haven't seen it yet... We'll see what happens.

Just doing slammed jeep things minding my own business and got pulled over and surrounded by 4 police officers. You'd think it's a crime to stop and properly align my headlights so I don't blind anyone.

I just laughed as I read this.

I'm honestly surprised that I've never been pulled over for "driving with my brights on" even though they are not. It's not my fault I want to be able to see the deer before it gets in my way. I had around 20 people flash their brights at me so I flashed mine back to indicate that mine aren't on. ZXE's FTW

Haha. I've never gotten flashed with my projectors, I was pulling into a parking lot to shine my lights on a wall to adjust them and all of the sudden a dark car pulled up and flicked his lights, I was already out of the car so I stopped and about 30 seconds later 3 more popped up with their lights on.

They probably had never seen someone actually stop to adjust a misaligned headlight before. Most people seem to be oblivious to the fact they they are blinding others. I need to go go back in and tighten the screws on my fogs and properly adjust them.
