Yep, that's right. 2 feet. I spent all day cleaning up. Patriot did great going back and forth from my wife's preschool. Here are some pics:

Another pic of the Jeep. I love the snow on the sideview mirror.

After my jeep plowed through the snow without shoveling.

The playhouse at my wife's preschool. Notice the "picket fence" in the background.

Overall, very impressed with the Patriot. I only shoveled a path to my driver's door, locked the 4X4, turned esp full off, and I came out without a problem. Granted, my driveway is a little down hill, I still think it's noteworthy. The snow was roughly level with the top of my front bumper, I don't think my previous vehicle (subaru) would have made it out.

Sorry if the pics are hard to figure out. Snow shots are always difficult to capture.

About school being open....

To make a long story short, she decided to open (she's the owner of the school) because it wasn't supposed to snow all day. We figured that once people got out of their driveways, they could still make it. The road crews are pretty good around here.

We arrive at the school, shovel the walkways and we have about 5 kids coming to schools. But one by one, they said they couldn't make it. No big deal though, we had to do the shoveling eventually.

On my way home from work today I saw people still digging out. Mostly their mailboxes.

Good storm for sure.

I'm ashamed to even say how your pictures make us UK owners feel, Klewis. I just hope to God you haven't been watching any British news over the last couple of weeks. We're the laughing stock of Northern Europe without a shadow of doubt.

I've heard that the UK has gotten more snow than usual. Nothing to be ashamed about. We can deal with it because we have to. I lived in North Carolina for a few years, and a 4 inch snowfall would cripple the region. Takes a while to learn how to drive on the stuff too. In contrast, I don't deal with heat very well......

Nope, no priuses, just jeeps, trucks, and the occasional Subaru.
