Just a quick one, I've always wondered this.
When I've driven Ford Rangers, Mitsubishi L200 and Toyota Hilux pick-ups here in the UK, they've always had 4 wheel drive low range, and you can only toggle onto that when the vehicle is stationary, or you get a rather unpleasant sound come from under the vehicle lol. Of course, you wouldn't be driving 4 low at any significant speed anyway....but still.
But with my Patriot Freedom Drive I, it seems I can hit the 4wd switch whenever I'm driving, and nothing really changes?
Is there any risk to the vehicle switching to 4wd at speed, and what max speed can you have 4wd on?
Personally, I have only used it when going slowly in the mud or at higher speed in the rare occasions in south-east England when it actually snows!
Cheers
