I know a lot of people like to name their vehicles I used to call my Corolla Daisy (someone once told me corolla was Japanese for flower). But I was wondering what some people called theirs. Mine became known as Jeepers, I know it's corny but it was the very first thing that popped into my head!

We used to call HER, the "RED" car, but then we added a RED VW New Beetle to the stable, now, she's the "Red Jeep, as opposed to the Army jeep...the VW is still a bug!

I've named mine "Lee-Roy" in loving memory of our family's favorite dog (full blood Boxer) who we had for 10.5 years! Her full name was Sarah Lee-Roy Wilcox ... yes our dog had a middle name lol She developed a brain tumor around April of 2010 and she became a walking vegetable...it was the saddest thing in the world :( my Dad and I cried so much when we took her to the Vet on her last day. When we layed her down on the table she just stared at us like she was trying to say thank you. I still get choked up just thinking about that moment. I hugged her for 10 minutes before we left! Best dog I will ever have the pleasure of having as a part of my family. Since that day I have named my vehicles Lee-Roy (only my 02 Frontier and now this). When I get a second vehicle idk what it'll be called lol maybe Sarah or Boxer

I never understood naming a vehicle or assigning gender to them? I don't mean any offense by that either. I just don't understand it is all and I am a real vehicle enthusiast. My vehicles are not just a hunk of machinery to get me from point a to point b. I take a "lot of pride in my ride" so to speak. :D

When I refer to my Patriot I say "the Jeep" as a generic term. When I drove my full sized trucks it was always "the truck". When I had cars it was always just "the car". If I had more than 1 truck or car at a time I would refer to them by the model( i.e. the Road Runner or the Crown Vic ).

Well, I can understand your reasoning...but, ships are called SHE, and most pilots call their flying machines "SHE, who must be obeyed..."

Ships are named, aircraft have "N" numbers--in the USA, and most are shortened to the last three, such as "one-niner-quebec" as in the case of my Bonanza, N619Q.

My brothers airplane ended in "94Q" and was often referred to by air traffic control as "Four-Que"....

Thanks. It's been long enough that I can handle thinking about her now. I miss her but I think loving my Patriot is like loving her memory...if that makes sense. Probably doesn't haha

@ TK jeep...that img in your sig is SICK! And your profile pic too lol

I'm likin the names people have :p I really wanna get custom plates for my Pat but I am sure that in Texas they cost a lot and then around $80 a year after that to renew? Idk the figures but it's pricey

Yea I wish but I know it costs more. My buddy had "RATFINK" or something like that on his bad ass Xterra and he had to go back to normal plates when his got drestroyed form offroading...not cause he wanted too, but because he got tired of paying so much for them every year. Though his weren't the normal plates with custom lettering, he had different all black plates too...so maybe it'd be cheap hmmmmmmmmm

Just looked it up...it adds another $40 ontop of your yearly bill. Or $60 or something. Mine already cost me 50-somethin bucks a year so if it'd cost me $90 a year, HELL NO! I'll get a sticker to show it's name lol

@ Creation & BondiBlue For real! $230 a year is ridiculous!

Our family just refers to it as "the Jeep", like some others above.

Deep down (although my wife hates it) I call my Inferno Red Pat, "Joany'.

For those non Mad Men watchers out there, Joan Halloway, a red head, and office manager, was called 'Joany' (or sometimes 'red) by Roger Sterling, one of the partners of Sterling Cooper.

I simply call mine "The Riot", or Riot v2.0 (2nd Riot after the 1st one got wrecked a year ago)

I'd call it "Blue," but that's also the color of my wife's car...
Hmmm...blue.....blues.....name of a bluesman...blues brothers...could call it "Elwood", I s'pose...Maybe "Lucille" like BB King's guitar? Nah...nothing's sticking right now...feel free to chime in if you have an idea...

Years ago I owned a Plymouth Horizon, and it happened to be blue in color. I named it "Over" as in "over the blue horizon"....
