Pick up some 303 Aerospace Protectant...it does wonders with plastic.

Really. All I've used on interiors since the late 1970's.
Along with UV protection, no smell at all, no slippery at all it has plasticizers in it. Actually makes microscopic plastic fibres lay back down.

Eliminates tiny scratches, really minimizes medium scratches and makes large scratches tolerable. Takes the yellow out of headlight lenses as well...if they don't quite need the restoration thing.
Already ordered some... should be here anytime now!

Went offroading for the first time in the Pat. Nothing extreme, but a couple good hill-climbs.

Then did a quick wash, and tried out back-to-black on all the black trim, tires, and wheel wells. Did wonders for the trim, and the tires and wheel wells looked good as far as I could tell; it was getting dark.

All in all, pretty productive day for the Jeep :pepper:

Got the STU coils installed, and some other warranty items that were bugging me repaired  pictures:

Narrowly missed a wrong way driver that I didn't see till the last second because they were cresting a hill... in my lane. Thank heavens for stability control and that emergency brake boost. I started getting sideways on dry pavement trying to avoid the bone-head

Well son of a gun, I locked my keys in the Jeep today.

Called up the third-party vendor that my insurance company (which is also my employer) deals with for roadside assistance and it seems like they just dispatched the cheapest help they could find.

Took him forever to get it unlocked, and the longer it takes them, the more they have to finagle that metal rod up and down my door jamb. The more they finagle that metal rod, the more paint that rubs off in the area. Now I have a nice 2" scratch down to the paint on my rear driver's side door jamb closest to the front driver's door.

Son of a gun!

He should have tried the rear door,
Rear does not have the lock guard only the front,
Friend spent 2 mins on front, switched to the back and 10 seconds it was open.

Bummer, I wish you were around when this happened. I should have realized that. I kept trying to think if there was a better way to do it, but didn't come up with anything. I think even if he did try the rear doors, I'm not confident this guy could have gotten it done any quicker.

Will have to head to the dealership this week to get some paint. It's probably barely noticeable to anyone other than me, but in addition to cosmetics I'm concerned about any rust in the future.

Good luck! If you aren't having luck, contact the seller and ask about relays. They should carry them. You just need one relay.

Did you buy a relay harness for your hid? If not, you need one.

Finally had hid kit and spring lift arrive - whoo hoo !
Now I'm checking eBay sites for relays - thanks creation for the heads-up
you will need a relay harness :) The do have canbus error cancellers, but I think the are hit or miss on our cars as if the work or not. Mine, did not work. I have a relay harness with special wiring.

I use the rainex wipers and they work amazing as well..

I've really been enjoying the rockford fosgate speakers as well. Best purchase for the money.

I ordered the Mopar bug deflector today, hope to have it installed within a few weeks...

Got the touch-up paint, less than $10 at the stealership.

I also decided to open a claim with the roadside folks to get my damage repaired... let the phone tag begin! Got an estimate from my body shop of choice today... $1,198.75 worth of damage just for some paint that was rubbed down to the metal on the edges of the doors.
