What kind of exhaust do people on here have? I see the occasional blacked out muffler mod but what have some of you guys got for exhaust?

Blacked out factory can. Contemplating on purchasing and installing the Hushpower 2.25" inch in the near future

Weird we're both from ohio and both have a patriot and a JK, my JK is even black. Anyhow, do you happen to have any sound clips for the exhaust on the JK? Everything I have heard so far makes them sound like fart-can civics and although I want to swap out the exhaust I don't want that sound for sure.

If/when I replace my exhaust, I would replace just the muffler with a small, short straight through and maybe angle is. The OEM pipe is very good and goes almost straight back. Find the picture of the Patriot undercarraige (it's a FDII) that shows the pipe goes right next to the driveshaft. Just continue it straight back with either a dual-tipped center exiting muffler or angles to the driver's side. None of this baffle/deflection crap or even 360* of bends inside a muffler. A short straight-though muffler will yield the best performance and be the lowest cost.

how do you like the sound so far? I had a Flowmaster Hushpower on my patriot-loved it. I decided to go a little different on the JK and put a Super 40 on it. If you had gone with a Super 44(same size muffler as you have now but just a little louder) it would already be painted black--dunno why Flowmaster only paints the Super 40 & 44 black and the others left aluminzed--unless it's a throwback to when they first got into business and all their stuff was black.

I keep seeing that people are using magnaflow or hushpower as their exhaust systems, but there are dozens of magnaflow and hushpower models. Does anyone have more specifics on what models or other details on what was used?

set up was about $280. $80 of it was cause I had to have the black chrome tip:)

I like how it sounds, not as deep as my truck but thats cool now, its not as loud in the cab as my last 3 cars but is still there so you know its got some balls in it. I'd post video or audio of it but I have no ****ing clue how to do that.
