looking at 2012 5 speeds. i like the orange color but not sure if it will hold its apeal.

The Wrangler has a nice burgundy colour...that would make a great Patriot colour I think.
A good burgundy should look almost black in shade, only revealing itself as it enters brighter ambient light.
Anyway...make sure you check out any colour of vehicle you are considering (if such things are important to you) in deep shade and bright light. Under sodium streetlights is nice too, if they will let you test it overnight.

Orange gets my vote. I think yellow would look good as well but unfortunately it is not available. I believe there was a similar discussion before where one of the members was thinking to paint his Patriot yellow like Wrangler yellow back in the days.
I like the copperhead orange I think it's very appealing as well as the rescue green. Those two would of been my first choices if available.
I like the Copperhead color. It was my second choice behind black. Traditionally, I like bright colors. I think the Pat would look sweet in Gecko Green like they offer on the wrangler, especially with the black "Altitude" package wheels. 
Copperhead Orange looks really good in person.
The Rescue Green is too light IMO.
Nothing beats Black (I have Black Pearl) or the Dark Grey Metallic.
Funny how some colors look great on one vehicle in the lineup and not so great on others. For instance, White looks great on a Liberty but I don't think it looks as good on the Patriot.

I love the copperhead myself (It would hide dirt between washes nicely too)

If I were buying new, I would likely go black, grey, silver or white.

None of this really matters. What color do YOU like most. I chose red, because I like the look of a red vehicle. I would have considered a dark, hunter green but not rescue green, which to me is hideous. I also did not care for Copperhead because I personally don't like orange. But again, that is my view. Go to a lot and look at them in person. Photos on a website do not do the colors justice.
Orange get my vote. I wanted a blue one but nothing in stock with the options that i wanted so pick up an orange and i love it.

My first choice was rescue green, then black, then a navy blue they had on the 2007s. So why do I have Inferno Red??? Because when I bought my 2007, it was April 2008 and at $8700 off sticker because the 2009s were on the way, I couldn't pass it up...
Plus with the beige interior, when I got it home, my wife said it was perfect for me since I am a Tampa Bay Bucs fan and the interior does sort of look like the Bucs pewter and add that with the red exterior....
