:D I just finished driving my 2009 Patriot from Melbourne to Perth about a 3,500km drive.
Why you may ask? the standard of cars is so much better in the eastern states of Australia! on that journey I got to know my vehicle so well, and I have to say Im so pleased with it! I cant wait to see what the future brings with it.

From what I know it is quite optioned.. Heated seats, Sunroof, Nudge bar all the goodies!

Nice Pat & great looking scenery - what a beautiful drive and I love where that nudge bar connects to the Jeep, thats where it should go, not all the way underneath.

This would be the fourth time I've driven from Perth to the eastern states! the scenery really does beat the civilised city views! There was strange rain storms nearly the entire way across the nullabor so there was a tonne of kangaroos on the road in the middle of the day drinking from the puddles, so you really have to be on your toes with the brake pedal!

Pity they stopped selling the Diesel Pat in Aus !! Then you are looking at 400--450 miles per tank . ( Believe it or not the record is over 600 miles --London to Berlin , with a little left over for a trip over the border into Poland )

Been awhile since I've posted anything, but I've still been showing my Patriot love :)

I replaced the stock radio with much better equipped unit I found on Ebay

In the process of installing the Stu Coils, just waiting for replacement struts, in the mean time with it on our hoist I installed Dynamat "Xtreme" in the cargo area and the tailgate

As I live opposite the ocean all our vehicles in the past have been prone to rust and the Patriot is no different, there was alot of surface rust developing on the underbody so I took this opportunity to clean up, rust convert, paint and then add a thick layer of sound deadener, has cleaned up very nicely!

I've also installed the Thule 690XT roof basket my local dealership wanted to charge me almost $1900 with labor for the basket... suffice to say I purchased it online for $500 shiped to Aus from PA :)
