Hi!

I got a serious water leak somewhere. The floor in the back seat on the passenger side is soaked in water. And of course now it came water from the interiour light in front.
I have seen the fix for the leak from the sunroof, but where can the water in the back come from?

As for that leak, this is only a guess, but maybe from the roof rack? The side rails end right over the back doors.
Or water could be traveling before it finds its way to where you see it. Then its anybody's guess.

If you have a sunroof, start with cleaning out the drains.

Other findings for peoples leaks have varied from drain plugs, to the satellite radio antenna, to poor welds on the body.
This is a Google search pulling only threads from this forum. It might help point you in the right direction to where to look if its not the sunroof.

Yes, that is the first place to start. For some reason I thought you didn't have the sunroof. Leaky sunroofs were a very common problem with the earlier years of the Patriot and there are many threads on the topic.

There is a search window at the right end of the green menu bar above that you can use. I did a search and here are my results: Jeep Patriot Forums - Search Results for sunroof drain tubes. Just click on the red text. I hope one of those threads is helpful, or as I said, do your own search and see what you can find.

Also I read that there is a possible bonding issue on the roof above the rear right door that may cause leaks.

That could nicely explain a puddle in the right side rear floor.
