Well if you're going to order a car before it is out, you have to go by something!

 

Reminds me of a movie I once saw

Does anybody remember the movie "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House"?

There is a great scene where his wife meets with the contractor and discusses the colors she wants:

"Well, I have this robin's egg as a sample, I would like the blue to be close to that, the yellow in the dinette should be like the petals of this flower, I would like the green in the living room to be like this swatch of material I got from the dress shop, Etc"

As she talks, the contractor just says gently, "Yep, umhumm, OK"

When she walks away, he says to the painter "Did you get that Bill?"

Bill says" Yeah...Blue, yellow and green!"

The contractor says "Right!" and shoves a cigar in his mouth and walks away!

hahaha!

 

Lovin the orange-

I just got my Blue steel on June 26th- if I had known I would have waited!!!!
Anyone want to trade a Blue steel Limited 5-speed for Orange???

 

I'm goign with the blue - I really like it - it's really glittery, but I think mud will compliment it very well! I was tempted not to do it and go with the red, but the only two red cars I've had were both jeeps and a different decade - jeeeeze - a different century

 

Good for you, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Don't forget to send in some pictures, we're all looking forward to seeing them.

 

I saw a Sunburst Orange 2008 Patriot at the Grand Rapids Michigan Auto Show - I really liked it. If I had picked my color - this would be it. (I agree with prior posts - the pic's colors are off a bit from real life.)
I would up buying an '07 Patriot 4x4 Trail Rated in Silver - I was attracted by the discounts offered by the dealer on last years model. Now both of my Mopar's are silver (other is a caravan), but the 4x4 was nice this winter, and the Trail Rated variety looks sweet with it's tow hooks, etc...

 

Irish Waif, that's an excellent pictures with those reflections on the car's body and glass and the soft lighting. I'm suddenly beginning to like surf blue.

SBO's very cool, too. It does look very much like inferno red, though, but both colors are good.

Here's my personal ranking of Patriot colors:

1. Bright silver. I think this one doesn't get along at all with the dark plastic trims and side-view mirrors. Plus, it's a color you see way too often in cars here in Spain.
2. Surf blue. OK, it's just that I wouldn't pick it. Too prominent in my opinion.
3. Steel blue. Mine! Dull and dim. It makes the car unnoticeable in traffic.
4. Jeep green. Nice color, although sort of dull, as well. It makes the Patriot look like an Army truck.
5. Brilliant black. Also very nice, the best color if you wanna tune up the car and add huge DUB wheels or chromed inserts.
6. Sunburst orange. Good color and very uncommon.
7. Stone white. The perfect choice for hot summer days, plus there aren't that many white SUVs out there.
8. Light khaki. Beautiful, elegant and lively.
9. (winner) Inferno red. I fall in love with this color every time I see pictures of it.​

Anyone has a different ranking?

I haven't had time to snap any pictures since putting the lift on. Still got to get it to the tire shop for new rubber and an alignment. Couldn't get in until Thursday.

 

I really like the orange. It was my backup choice to the green and in Pittsburgh I have seen a few green Pats but no orange on the road yet.
