The switch info is sent through the instrument cluster down the CANbus to the radio, so depending on which radio you have you may need a special wiring harness or adapter to make it work.

Check with the radio manufacturer and see what they recommend, or a shop like Crutchfield, etc. and see if they have a solution.

Hi,thank you,I have some info from various android head unit groups that I can connect the KEY 1 cable to the SWC wire and as long as the ohms values from each individual button is les than 1k ohms then it will allow me to let the head unit app learn the function of each button.
Crutchfield seem to cost more for the canbus interface than the radio cost🤔

Hi,Thanks for the diagrams.
On another Jeep forum I have found that the SWC wire at the plug under the steering wheel cowl is red/yellow.
Link it to the KEY 1 wire coming out of main plug at rear of head unit.
Will post results after trying it out.
