Spacers for Stock Wheels

I want to widen my stance without having to buy new wheels right now due to financial reasons. Is it possible to get spacers that will bring the tire out to the edge of the wheel flare without causing rub or interence?

I currently have the 17" aluminum stock wheels. I plan on getting new rims when I get new tires but for the time being I just want to widen the stance.

Any help is appreciated.

I have a 2014 latitude 4x4 fd1. Stock wheels, not the basic steel wheels. I want to do the same thing, and bring the tires out o the edge of the wheel wells. I will also be putting in the rro lift kit.
1. Do spacers, or offset wheels change anything with the lift?
2. Which is a better route for less strain/wear and tear, spacers, or wheels? (I will eventually be getting new wheels so I dont have to keep up on the black plasti dip.)
3. Any other advice, or recommendations?

Wheel spacers/offset wont affect the lift. Wheels with less offset is always the better choice, but you can always run spacers until you get wheels. Spacers, even high quality ones, require periodic checks to make sure they are torqued to spec.

Spacers vs different offset wheels shouldn't change much. Only thing I can think of is that a lot of spacers are low quality parts and would have the potential to break easier than a wheel. That being said I know a few guys that have used them for a long time with no problems. Just make sure spacers are legal in your area. They aren't in mine (even though plenty of people have them) so rather than take the chance of an overzealous cop noticing, I bought new rims.
