Are you in the US? I think safety devices must go 10 years/100,000 miles. I had the plastic cover on the seat belt latch break on my Oldsmobile a few years ago around 90,000 miles. Really it was only cosmetic, but they replaced it under warranty.

No Latch!

I am having a problem when I latch my driver seat belt, if I just pull on the strap it pops the latch right out! I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see what they say.

I just happened to pull up on the strap the other day and it popped out!

I had that issue with my 07 front passenger seat belt. It doesnt click sometimes.. You have to push the crap out of it and pull it to make sure its actually locked.

I went back to Jeep and they ordered me a new latch and installed it free of charge of course.

replacement

The dealer just called and said they are going to replace the driver latch, the part will be in tomorrow. If you are having issues it is worth taking in to get looked at, as someone said safety issues are warrantied for many years and they are most likely going to replace it.

On another note, I was having intermittent problems with the key not coming out of the lock when I parked and shut the engine off. Would have to shift it back into gear and then park before it would release - they are replacing my shifter too. I suppose I should post something else on that issue.
