I don't know if this helps, but i'm not sure where those measurements come from. I measured from the ground to the pinch weld just above where my nerf bars are at.
If I wasn't at work i'd get some measurements for you. Are you looking to get a lift or just wanted to know the heights?
Just wanted to know the heights to check for sagging but I found another thread that mentioned where they measured from concrete to bottom of wheel well. And my numbers checked out... So I guess I'm ok
I know that my 2013 fd1 is the same as the fd2 model due to same 17 inch wheels and tires. with that said I know a water bottle will just fit under rear lcas but not front. that's like 8.2 inches as I remember. to me ground clearance is measured at lowest point of vehicle and that is front lcas.
Well id say your Patriot looks fine. When I get a moment I will go measure mine. I know my numbers won't be the same since I am lifted. I am just wondering if my numbers will match each side. Your saying that your Patriot's rear fender is .25 lower than the other side.
I'm not sure if you could notice .25'' of difference just looking at it, but do you see any leaning when your looking from the rear?
Yes I can see a slight lean from rear. Not aweful and if I was wasn't always looking I wouldn't notice. No one else sees it. But if y'all think it look fine then I'm ok with that
I'm trying to find something wrong with your Patriot and I just don't see it. Hows the tread on the tires in the back? I'm not sure if that would make a huge difference. On my Patriot the tires with the best tread are on the front. If the tires are really worn couldn't that cause a difference in height?
It could. I wasn't really worried till my other tires cupped really bad... And someone said that sagging springs could cause that. And I measured and the back is lower than the front. So that's what has me kinda stressing about it
I don't really have the money to do it, but don't wanna buy new tires if its just gonna do it again
I just did a little reading on the causes of tire cupping. It does list that a bad suspension could cause the issue. It said that you would notice your suspension bouncing around. I didn't see anything about a sagging suspension.
Is your Patriot still under warranty? If so, you could just get it checked out and give yourself 100% confidence that there are no issues.
Lucky.. I have the 10 yr 100k Mile with a 100 dollar deductible..
Well could've been a bad set of tires too.. Looks like you have no need to worry though. I'm going to measure mine tonight or tomorrow just cause im curious now.
