Jepstr67 has expressed interest in trying to get a "Vent" setting - Outside Air, O/A, when fan is off.
I started tracking this down today.
There is a connector ("Actuator - Recirculation Door") on the right side of the fan housing.
It has two wires:
DB/TN (Dark Blue with Tan Stripe - The stripe is pretty big) which is Recirculation Door Driver A
DB/GY (Dark Blue with Gray Stripe - This stripe is smaller) which is Recirculation Door Driver B
They appear to run directly to the A/C controls.
(I don't have the wiring diagrams but the only place I find another connector that mentions that circuit is on the "Control - A/C Heater C1")
I took my multimeter and hooked it up to the connector.
First I attached the red lead to the DB/TN and black lead to DB/GY.
With this configuration:
Vehicle OFF: Open Circuit - Actuactor is in whatever state it was when vehicle was last turned OFF.
Run, Fan OFF: +10.5 V - If O/A was open it closes.
Run, Fan ON, Recirc OFF: -10.5 V - I hear door open to O/A.
Run, Fan ON, Recirc ON: +10.5 V - I hear door close to O/A and all air entering fan through interior of vehicle via opening in top of fan housing directly behind glove box.
I then switched the leads and got the opposite voltages (obviously). So I don't know which way is + or -, need the wiring diagrams for that.
