I just bought an 07 Patriot a couple weeks ago. I noticed by the rear hatch that their is one single seat belt on the passenger side. I thought it might be for a 3rd row seat but mine doesnt have one. Does anyone know what this seat belt is for. And/Or if they make a 3rd row seat where can I find one? Thanks Adam

There should be a small buckle located next to the big seat belt buckle for the passenger side. all you have to do is insert the small metal tab from the one in the rear into the small buckle. Make sure the belt is routed over the inboard side of the rear passenger side headrest. Voila! now you have a middle seat belt for your Patriot. To remove it, take the large metal tab and insert it into the slot on the small buckle and it will pop right out. Now you can retract the belt and insert both the large and small tabs into the holes on the back pillar and it will stay secured there until you need it again.

I have been visiting this site for a while now. Bought a 2010 Patriot about 2 months ago. I have learned so many cool things form reading all the post like...... how to release and store the rear seat belt and how the compass shift knob would look alot better than the stock patriot knob. Thanks to everyone for all the great info.
